My dear RLPeeps: since I finished “A Series of Tubes” a few weeks ago, I’ve been twenty thousand tasks related to getting RED LIGHT PROPERTIES to work the way I want, but all this time has somehow slipped through my fingers and still I’ve told you na-da.
So lemme fix that.
MAINLY: I’ve been busy learning (& then doing) the formatting of most of this year’s “Tight Shorts” stories as single-issue downloads for all the ebook & digital comic systems (Kindle, Nook, iBooks, Comixology, etc). I’ve done art touch-ups on all these stories and created sexy cover art for each one, which I’ll post for you to see soon. And of course once the titles are live, I’ll throw up direct links to them too, promise.
AND ALSO: I’ve been prepping the Portuguese and Spanish versions to launch before the end of the year; the comics get translated and plugged into their own language-specific sites with their own language-specific RSS feeds, all the fixins, even the cherry on top.
NEXT WEEK: I’m flying to my old home of New York City to have a zillion lunch meetings and then attend the New York Comic-Con. Tucked into my Bag of Holding +4 (snort) will be a short-run color RLP flip book containing “Goodnight, Donnie Cheng” and “A Series of Tubes”, as well as these glow-in-the-dark RLP “Company Secret” pins:

AND THEN: Back to home to Brazil, where I’m a guest of the Rio Comic-Con in Rio de Janeiro, a city of legendary beauty and funk that’s going to be full of old (and new) comix friends for a few days.
And then I’m BACK HOME where the COMICS BEGIN AGAIN. I feel like an incommunicative boyfriend here, but that ALL THIS is why the RLP stopped running for a few weeks, and once the ALL THIS is done, RLP will return with the beginning of MALA FAMA, the second major act of the series. And when we do come back, we’re coming back in three languages.
Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned for more news, comics, etc.
