A Series Of Tubes Page 23

And so we end “A Series of Tubes”… a story that started off as a riff on something that happened to a friend of the family and went all spiral on me as I tapped it out. As always, I’d love to hear what YOU think. Next up takes us into a new area of The Whole Series, the top of the second novel-length story, MALA FAMA. I know you’re excited now, heehee.

I’ll be back next week with news, comics, more shimmering iridescent shards of my soul that I’ve dug out and shined up with my tears for you here. Have a great weekend, RLPeeps!

im with pops, “better late than never” I like where this one went, good character development with fathers and sons, and revealed something about Cecilia that just doesnt sit well with me..Ive tried to be neutral with her so far but…

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

The last thing I want you to be is neutral about of these characters, Lando.

Thanks for sounding off; there are reasons for everyone’s bad behaviors, and we’ll learn more as we get to know everybody better.

sweet dreams? keep it professional, jerk. (said to hopefully-exiting-permanently cop)
teasing us first with the picture of the family still hung by the door in one frame, then letting us down swiftly with Cecilia still not softening towards Jude in the penultimate frame. grrrr. agreed with lando, here…me no like her very much right now.

of course still, good show, as usual! cheers!

It sounds as if you’re rooting for the Fam to get back together…? That would certainly be the EASY way to do things, no? And cheers to you for noticing the family photo in that parting shot; I was proud enough of that not try to be at all subtle.

of course i want the hot chick to get back with the troubled man, easy though it may be.

Man, this comic is fantastic. I just discovered it today through BoingBoing (grats, btw!) and I immediately had to devour the whole of the archives. Good stuff.

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

Much appreciated, Joel; things are gonna get wackier for the RLP crew real soon… Glad to have you present and current for the upcoming MALA FAMA storyline ;)

  • Stephen Sunday

So yeah, I’m with Joel inasmuch as I got here via BoingBoing.  I’m guessing I’m not alone, since over the last two days, while I’ve been reading the entirety of this amazing comic, it takes a bit to load/crashes out/etc.  That probably sounds like a complaint, but it’s not– your quality is such that you deserve to have your server boingboinged hard like that.  Good food doesn’t come from McDonald’s– you have to wait for it, pay more, take more time, savor it.

Bottom line, here, mate– this right here?  Amazing.  Amazing.  Amazing.  You won that spot in my bookmarks folder, and I don’t bookmark lightly when I can make my rss feed do the heavy lifting for me.

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

Stephen, you say the nicest things. Especially when you repeat “Amazing” over and over. Your presence here is most welcome; I shall reward you with more comics.

        Color me excited, good sir!

Hey i just read the whole comic series from the beginning after hearing about it on boingboing, plain awesome !

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

Welcome to the cluttered inside of my head, Lennart! I’ve currently got outlines for another five novels’ worth, so there’s lots more where this came from.

  • Sadie Todd

I also just read the whole series in the last two days.  Fantastic!  I want more!

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

More is coming; this I VOW!! Thanks for sugar and your time, Sadie.

  • Richard Fleming

Another Boing-Boing visitor, sad to have gobbled my way all the way through your fabulous series already! I’m loving the distinction / conflict between Jude’s chemically induced abilities and the paths of Santeria. Count me as a new subscriber!

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

Late to respond as I was at the Rio Comic-Con when RLP got Boinged, but I’m so glad to have you aboard and up to speed!

This is a fantastic series! I’ve read it all since yesterday – couldn’t stop! I, too, am from Boing-Boing. Do you plan to publish this in print? Look forward to reading more soon!

    • http://dangoldman.net Dan Goldman

Hello Allison! I do indeed have plans to publish it in print, but there’s nothing I can announce just yet. I’m also going to make remastered versions of the stories available as ebooks on Apple iBooks, Kindle, Nook, Kobo, etc etc in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

But yes, I want printed versions myself. Stay tuned for news and thanks for digging my Mental Miami.
