I’m a little late with this post, but I was hyper-fixating on details I ultimately realized you can’t even see until this story is printed. It’s my bad for working zoomed all the way into the scene.
SO: here we are with the first part of “Florida Pain.” This is the first script I’ve ever written entirely in a hammock (hopefully the first of MANY, hehehe) in a beach town called Guaratuba, and Tony really just jumped out of my fingers and wrote himself.
The pain store phenomenon is a big industry in Florida, with people coming from all over the South to buy cheap “legal” pain pills at these shops and sell them to friends/fam/clients back home. Jude’s clairvoyance needs numbing at the end of the workday so he can relax ghost-free like a normal person, so he’s pretty thankful these pain shops exist.
See you in a week with the conclusion…
